Anzac soldiers engaged in a game of 'Saddle-me-nag'. When the soldiers at Gallipoli were able to get a moment away from the trenches they would often let off steam by playing games letting them forget for a few moments the grim reality of life at Gallipoli. Games of cricket and football were played as well as schoolboy games on the beach as shells flew overhead.
